Hey again! ...
A few weeks ago we had an opportunity to show off a demo of The Low Road to a bunch of local gamers at Dark Matters here in Edmonton. It was a really great opportunity to get some valuable feedback, and as usual it’s super rewarding and motivating to see people interact with something we’ve been putting our blood sweat and tears into for the last couple of years.
There’s still quite a bit of polish work to do but we are plugging away. We’ve been doing weekly team play-throughs over Google Hangouts which has been a really good way for us to brainstorm solutions to gameplay and clarity issues. Have a look at how Robyn addressed a clarity issue in the pickpocket puzzle by illustrating to the player where the collision points are:
