It is now 100% Unity which allows us to bring it to even more platforms than before. In just a few days we will be releasing it for Android and Nintendo Switch and I'm really looking forward to all the DYC fans getting their hands on it. Personally I've played through the entire game a multitude of times as I was testing it across multiple platforms and really enjoyed the experience. There's something viscerally satisfying about actually throwing an invader with your finger instead of just using a mouse cursor. I really hope that more people will be able to play the game this way after we upload it to more platforms! A few weeks ago we had an opportunity to show off a demo of The Low Road to a bunch of local gamers at Dark Matters here in Edmonton. There’s still quite a bit of polish work to do but we are plugging away. We’ve been doing weekly team play-throughs over Google Hangouts which has been a really good way for us to brainstorm solutions to gameplay and clarity issues. Our booth was set up next to the Max Games guys as well as the creator of Lonewolf Sniper and Tactical Assassin. We love to run into other local developers and see the new games they’re working on. Our demo for the Low Road showcased well with one or two hiccups. The inventory system we added was very helpful to navigate the storyline and many people played all the way through the demo. The only issue was an odd configuration of mouse clicks that would freeze up the game at the very beginning. The number of people who found this issue was impressive considering none of us found it despite playing through the demo many times. Never undervalue the value of conventions! Right now we’re working on the story following the demo. Currently our focus is adding the logic behind the scenes and finishing the art of the next chapter. As usual we’re looking forward to being able to share more! It was great being able to get the team together in one place again, and meeting fans new and old as we showed off the game -- we made a lot of new friends, and met a lot of great people working in the industry~ During our downtime in San Francisco, we visited a variety of tourist hotspots, including Pier 39, Musée Mécanique, and The San Francisco Dungeon. The dungeon was especially interesting as we got to learn about how easily Kaelyn gets scared, and how Leif giggles like a simpleton when he gets singled out for a "demonstration" in front of everybody :) And thanks to Eric's vast knowledge of prime eating establishments, we got to eat at a whole bunch of great restaurants that we'll not soon forget. It all was really exciting and extremely exhausting at the same time, but we're really stoked about all the positive comments we've received from the media, gamers, and the other exhibitors at the show.
